The name SFIDA—Italian for "challenge"—defines Chef Gianni Secchi's pursuit of creating Chicago's hottest authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of the Gold Coast. He is leveraging his formative years in restaurants and his recent work at his brothers’ globally 5th best Italian Chef Stefano Secchi Michelin-starred kitchen, Rezdôra in NYC, to bring this vision to life. Discerning diners crave authentic, regional Italian food, but the market is saturated with Americanized versions.

One of the largest metropolitan cities without a strong traditional Italian dining presence. Only a few notable competitors: Monteverde and Tre Dita, reservation waitlist culture. Gold Coast is a large market with population density and high disposable incomes. One of the only highly dense areas in the city where consumers are spending over $200/person and buying wine.
